NPS Photo Exploring the Wright Memorial There are over seventy types of trees that call the Wright Memorial home. The Wright Brothers Memorial was designed by the Olmsted Brothers landscape architecture firm in consultation with the Wilbur and Orville Wright Memorial Commission, the Miami Conservancy District, and the National Park Service. The memorial has retained its original Olmsted design. The memorial consists of a designed landscape with a walled plaza, walkways, informative plaques, and, as the focal point, a 17-foot granite shaft. |
