Import Overview

Once an export packet is generated, and its location identified, you can import the object it contains to any other CommonSpot site. You can import any object that displays an Import Object-name link in the dialog. As with export operations, import specifics vary, but the general process is the same.

For example, to import a Custom Element, complete steps 1 and 2 in Exporting a Custom Element, then click the Import Custom Element link at the bottom of the Manage Elements dialog.

Note: Importing Custom Elements containing custom field types or render handlers housed in the ADF requires correct installation and mapping to ADF directories. SeeAdministrators Reference
