YORKTOWN, Va. — On Oct. 17, history takes center stage as Colonial National Historical Park hosts Hamilton with Hamilton. This free, immersive evening at the Yorktown Victory Monument features a live conversation with an Alexander Hamilton reenactor and outdoor screening of the movie musical Hamilton.
This revolutionary event combines history, live storytelling, and the groundbreaking musical that educated and entertained audiences just steps from the historic battlefield where American independence was won.
“This fun, free, family-friendly event enables visitors to connect the Hamilton’s story with the place where he played a pivotal role in American and French forces securing the decisive victory over the British,” said Colonial National Historical Park Superintendent Jerri Marr. “It’s a meaningful way to experience history while looking ahead to the 250th anniversary of the Surrender at Yorktown in 2031.”
Visitors are encouraged to arrive by 6 p.m. to secure a spot on the lawn. At 6:30 p.m., the program begins with a live conversation and Q&A with “Alexander Hamilton,” portrayed by Luke Nathan Phillips, followed by the movie at 7 p.m.
Hamilton with Hamilton is presented in collaboration with York County, Visit Williamsburg, Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation, and The AV Company.
