Celebrate World Oceans Day-Take a virtual dive into the kelp forest without ever getting wet by joining special live broadcasts from Channel Islands National Park. Interact with diving park rangers to learn about current threats to our oceans and how you can help conserve our coastal and ocean resources.
Interactive programs will broadcast June 6-9, 2012. Wednesday-Friday 12:30 pm, 2:00 pm, and 3:30 pm PT Saturday 10:00 am, 12:30 pm, and 2:00 pm PT
Live broadcasts will be transmitted from underwater in the kelp forests at Channel Islands National Park to participating west coast institutions from Alaska to southern California. Audiences at these locations will have the rare opportunity to interact with a park scuba diver in real time.
All programs are also available for viewing at the park's visitor center in Ventura or on the Internet at: www.nps.gov/chis/planyourvisit/live-programs.htm
Channel Islands Live is provided by an educational partnership between the National Park Service and Ventura County Office of Education.
