HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE! CARLSBAD, New Mexico –In honor of the National Park Service's 98th birthday on Monday, August 25, entrance fees will be waived at Carlsbad Caverns National Park. The waiver of park entry fees includes Carlsbad Caverns and the 264 other National Park Service (NPS) sites across the country that charge admission. Admission to the rest of NPS's 401 parks already is free. Besides entry into the park itself, free admission into the self-guided Big Room and Natural Entrance portions of Carlsbad Caverns are included in this nationwide Summer hours are now in effect at the park.
