Catoctin Mountain Park will conduct road work beginning on Monday, August 11. The work will address serious deficiencies on Foxville Deerfield Road and Park Central Road. It is expected to continue through early November with full road closures in place for periods of time. Foxville Deerfield Road will be closed through mid-October. During this time, motorists traveling through the park will have to use an alternate route. Owens Creek Campground will remain open and accessible from either end of Foxville Deerfield Road. See map below for details. Work on Park Central Road will begin in October. One lane of travel will remain open through most of the work. However, the road will be closed to through traffic for approximately three weeks. The park Visitor Center, parking lots, and cabin camps will remain open.
