HARKERS ISLAND, NC -- U.S. Park Rangers with Cape Lookout National Seashore are investigating a theft from one of the park-owned boats and are seeking information from the public.

Park Rangers discovered that a theft had occurred from one of the park’s boats at the Lola boat ramp on Cedar Island. A Garmin GPS unit, two Interstate marine batteries, and a gas can full of fuel were stolen.

Information from other visitors is often very helpful to investigators. If you were in the area of the Lola boat ramp on Cedar Island sometime between the afternoon of Thursday, May 13th and the morning of Friday, May 14th, or if you have information that could help, please contact us. You don’t have to tell us who you are, but please tell us what you know.
