BEAUFORT, NC – In consultation with the Town of Beaufort, due to park staffing limitations during the COVID-19 pandemic, the National Park Service’s Beaufort Visitor Information Center will now be open Thursdays – Sundays, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., beginning April 20th, 2021.
Located at 701 Front Street in Beaufort, North Carolina, the Beaufort Visitor Information Center provides exhibits on the ecology and history of the Southern Outer Banks of North Carolina. When open, visitors can pick up brochures, view exhibits, interact with displays and get advice from park staff in planning their visit to the expansive 56-miles of Cape Lookout National Seashore.
The Visitor Center is conveniently located across the street from the Island Express Ferry Service dock, which is located at 600 Front Street, Beaufort, NC 28516. Island Express Ferry Service is the authorized concessioner for passenger transport to Shackleford Banks.
