Harkers Island, NC –  National Park Rangers have begun posting notices on non-permitted duck blinds within the boundaries of Cape Lookout National Seashore. These blinds may be unauthorized for a wide variety of reasons, including, but not limited to: unpermitted structures, non-temporary structures, abandoned structures and/or permits & permit numbers not being clearly displayed on structures.

Upon receiving a posted notice, the owner of the blind has fourteen days to either remove the non-permitted blind or contact Park Rangers for additional information. Park Rangers may be contacted by calling (252) 728-2250 and requesting to speak with a Law Enforcement Ranger.

A full list of the regulations for permitted duck blinds within the boundaries of Cape Lookout National Seashore can be found at www.nps.gov/calo/planyourvisit/sup-blinds.htm.
