Horvat (BG) as the new Chief of Interpretation at Cape Lookout National Seashore. Mr. Horvat will be joining the staff in May 2015 from his current position at Carlsbad Caverns National Park. "Eager to return to the Coast! Even more excited to take the program into a period of growth and make it thrive!", said BG. In addition to being an interpreter, BG served seven years as an NPS Wild Land Firefighter II, and three years as a member of the Hawaii Volcanoes Search and Rescue Team. BG is a graduate of the 2014 NPS Generating Organizational and Advancement in Leadership program, a career development program in the NPS. During his career with the National Park Service, BG has worked at several other NPS units including Pinnacles National Monument, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Haleakala National Park, Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area and Badlands National Park. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in Geography. Please join the staff of Cape Lookout National Seashore in welcoming Mr. Horvat to the park. |
