November Interpretive Program Schedule At the Seashore

Harkers Island, North Carolina. Acting Superintendent Charles Cranfield announces the following activities and film showings during the month of November at Cape Lookout National Seashore. Additional programs may be offered. Programs will run on schedule, unless there is inclement weather. Lighting the Way (Daily upon request, 15 minutes)

Come learn the history of the Cape Lookout Lighthouse and the life of a lighthouse keeper. Programs begin on the porch of the Assistant Keepers’ Quarters next to the Lighthouse.

Ribbon of Sand (Daily upon request, 26 minutes)

This film features an exploration of the entire coastal ecosystem, from the vast coastal plain to the shallow estuaries, from the shifting sands of the barrier islands to the underwater edge of the continental shelf. This film is open captioned and listening units are available for audio description and enhanced listening.
