Harkers Island, NC – As more and more American families are impacted by the cost of travel, many folks are looking for local vacation destinations. The National Park Service will hold a media open house at the cabin lodging areas located within Cape Lookout National Seashore at Long Point on North Core Banks and at Great Island on South Core Banks to highlight the rustic beach cabins at the seashore. The Great Island Cabin tour will be Friday, July 25 2008, and the Long Point Cabin tour will be on Thursday, July 31, 2008. Although the camps are quite different in layout, one can get an appreciation of the vacation opportunities available by visiting either site. Come and join us to discover more of what the seashore has to offer.
