Buffalo National River, Harrison, AR – With summer’s arrival, the upper district of Buffalo National River has dropped to a level that is favorable for removing litter and large debris from the riverbanks and gravel bars. The Buffalo National River Partners, in partnership with the National Park Service, will host a river cleanup from Hasty Access to Carver on Friday, July 7, beginning at 9:00 AM.

This four-mile float features primarily flat water with a few intermittent riffles. Currently, this section of river is quite low, so cleanup participants will likely encounter areas where they have to get out and drag their boats along for short distances. Volunteers should expect to be on the river until approximately 3:00 PM.

To register and secure a boat for the cleanup, visit http://bnrpartners.org/. Registration is limited to 25 volunteers, so please sign up soon!
