How Do I Become a Buffalo National River Junior Ranger?

Junior Rangers "Explore, Learn, and Protect" their national parks. Become a Junior Ranger by learning about the park's animals, history, geology and more! Once you take the time to learn about the park and its valuable resources, you will be able to share your knowledge with friends and family to help them understand why Buffalo National River is a special place.

Buffalo National River Junior Rangers have to complete at least six activities in the Junior Ranger Handbook to earn their badge. The handbooks are available at the Steel Creek Ranger Station, Tyler Bend Visitor Center, and Buffalo Point Ranger Station. When you are finished with the handbook, take it back to any of the stations to have a ranger check your answers and to receive your badge.

Additionally, there are junior ranger programs offered in the park during the summer. Check the Calendar of Events page for upcoming programs.
