The Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area offers many recreational possibilities to discover and explore. There are a number of permitted outfitters and guide services to make your trip more memorable and enjoyable.

Water activity services include:

  • Guided and non-guided river trips (whitewater rafting, canoeing, tubing, and kayaking), equipment rentals (canoes, tubes, rafts) and river shuttles; contact Sheltowee Trace Outfitters at 1-800-541-RAFT or www.ky-rafting.com

The park is always recruiting any interested applicants to provide services to visitors in the park such as hayrides, swimming lessons, or a hot dog stand. Depending on the type of business applied for, there will be some requirements such as being open on weekends and having insurance.
