News Release Date: May 29, 2013 The Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area will have a "Hooked on Fishing" program on Tennessee's Free Fishing Day. Ranger Dustin Beaty will take the young ones and the young-at-heart fishing at Leatherwood Ford on Saturday, June 8, at 6:30 p.m. (EDT). This 90-minute program will meet at the Leatherwood Ford gazebo. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Bring a fishing pole and life jacket if you have one. Please take appropriate precautions to protect yourself from sun and insects. Since this event takes place on Free Fishing Day in Tennessee, no state fishing license is required.
