News Release Date: February 9, 2015 In celebration of President's Day, the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area will host a cooperative program with the American Eagle Foundation about the majestic bald eagle, Haliaeetus leucocephalus. Meet on Monday, February 16, at 1:00 p.m. (CT) at the Gateway to the Big South Fork Visitor Center in Crossville, Tennessee, and join National Park Service Ranger Mary Grimm and the American Eagle Foundation. The bald eagle is a native species that has symbolized courage, strength, and freedom throughout our nation's history. This program is free of charge and wheelchair accessible. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Feel free to bring your camera!
