Contact: Letitia Neal, 423-569-9778 Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area is pleased to announce that the Bandy Creek pool will open for the summer season on Friday, May 25, 2012. The pool will be open daily from 10:30 a.m. through 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Daily fees for the pool are $3.00 for adults, $2.00 for ages 6-12, and free for children five and under. Family season passes may be purchased for $35.00 and are good for up to six family members. Individual season passes may be purchased for $25.00. The pool is available for after-hours use by groups. To check on availability and make a reservation for after-hours use, call the Bandy Creek Campground Office at (423) 286-8368.Niki Nicholas, Superintendent of Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area, has authorized fee waivers for daily pool use fees on Saturday, June 9, 2012, in recognition of National Get Outdoors Day. This is part of the National Park Service's annual fee free days designated by Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar to encourage Americans to visit our national parks.
