Each unit includes background information for teachers, student prerequisites, classroom activities, and standards, in addition to other resources. Air Pollution Impacts Website includes a summary of recent findings regarding mercury sources in South Florida, levels in landscape and wildlife, and EPA fish consumption advisories. Studies and Monitoring Website summarizes continuing efforts to analyze the effects of mercury at Everglades National Parks. Also includes a short reading of findings relating mercury to the endangered Florida panther. National Atmospheric Deposition Program Website provides access to data collected by Everglades National Park Research Center's mercury monitoring program, containing data from 1996-2012, for potential student analysis.
