From 1854 to 1859 Ulysses S. Grant lived at White Haven with his family. Although he lived in many houses throughout his life, he only thought of two houses as home, the White House and White Haven. After the Civil War, Grant purchased White Haven from his in-laws and painted the house Paris Green. What color would you paint White Haven?
