Visiting Palo Alto Battlefield is great learning experience. At this time, it’s not possible to visit the park in person. Fortunately, you can still visit us wherever you are!

The Junior Ranger program helps young visitors explore and learn about Palo Alto Battlefield. The program encourages them to think of ways they can protect this significant historic park. It is designed to be completed with the help of parents or other adults and is a great and memorable experience.
Explore how park rangers protect Palo Alto and about the animals and plants that call this park home. Consider ways you can help protect the park’s environment.
The Junior Ranger activities also focus on the importance of the U.S.-Mexican War and its impact on your life. Study a map of the area and learn about this fight for land. Go on to discover how others fought and continue fighting to protect National Parks. How can you protect these special places?
After you have fun on your virtual field trip, email your answers to earn a digital Junior Ranger badge
