I created this piece to honor the most popular mountain in the park. Although this mountain has had a few names, its indigenous name means, “White Mountain that sees First Light.”

Wapuwoc is a very popular location for visitors of the park, and watching the sunrise in the park is something I have done so many times, I truly believe everyone should experience it. I personally love to hike the North or South trail to the summit and wait for a stellar view.
