Course certificate

Federal employees and members of the public can receive a certificate for taking Study Tour through DOI Learn, the official online learning center of the U.S. Department of the Interior. Follow the instructions and links below to register.

For the Public

To apply for courses in DOI Learn, an account must be created for you in the system.

Direct your browser to the DOI Learn homepage for non-federal users. Click on the "Need an Account? (Public Catalog)" link. Follow the instructions. Note that it can take several weeks for your account to be created.
Once you receive confirmation that the account has been created, log in, register for the course, and follow the instructions under Taking the Final Assessment.

For DOI Employees

New employees are automatically added to DOI Learn, but it may take several weeks for your account to be ready. Once your account has been created, follow the directions listed on the front page of DOI Learn to login, change your password, and register for courses.

Taking the Final Assessment

You must register for the course in order to take the assessment. Once you have a user name and password for DOI Learn, search for "Study Tour" in the search box. Register for the course, then return to this website to complete the course. After you are finished, return to DOI Learn.

Log in to DOI Learn and retrieve "Study Tour" from My Courses. Click on the course title. A new window will pop up. Follow the instructions to complete the assessment. Close the window after your score appears. Users must answer 80 percent of the questions correctly to earn the certificate. If you do not score 80 percent the first time, you can take the final assessment over again.

Viewing, Downloading, and Printing Your Certificate

After you've completed the assessment, close that screen to return to DOI Learn. You will see an option under the "OLT Activities" tab (upper left) to either "Drop Course" or "Print Certificate." Click on Print Certificate. A new window will open with your certificate ready for printing or saving. If you have any problems, call the DOI Learn Help Desk at 1-866-466-1998.
