The museum collection contains a variety of cultural items related to the Allegheny Portage Railroad (1834-1857) and the resources the park protects. The collection’s purpose is to “increase knowledge and inspiration among present and future generations through exhibits, research, and interpretive programs.” Included in the collection are archeological items from Portage Railroad, Lemon House, Staple Bend Tunnel and Skew Arch Bridge. Items of note include: railroad objects, Lemon Family possessions, wooden models, and much more!
