NPS photo The Mesquite Trail is located just outside of the Alibates Flint Quarries Visitor Center. It is relatively flat and covers a distance of one quarter of a mile. It is an excellent short hike that provides a fantastic view of the local canyon and what was once a part of the LX Ranch. One may encounter local insects, reptiles, birds, Ice age era plants, pieces of Alibates flint along the trail. Easy to Moderate hike. |
