Volunteers play a crucial role in supporting the National Park Service. Each year, over 120,000 individuals generously contribute more than 4 million hours of service across national parks. These dedicated volunteers come from all 50 states and around the world to help preserve and protect America's rich natural and cultural legacy for the enjoyment of current and future generations.
