Join Our Friends

Friends of Lake Meredith and Alibates was established in November of 2005. The mission of the Friends group is to support, promote and raise funds for Lake Meredith National Recreation Area and Alibates Flint Quarries National Monument in partnership with the National Park Service and other supporters who value the unique qualities of these national resources.

Past Projects

Friends of Lake Meredith and Alibates was instrumental in the fundraising process for the Alibates Flint Quarries National Monument visitor center.

 

The Alibates Visitor Center welcomes visitors, provides information about the national monument and Lake Meredith, and is the meeting point for tours and other ranger-led programs.
