Donate

Your interest in making a donation to Aleutian World War II National Historic Park is deeply appreciated. There are two ways you can make a gift to benefit the park: directly to the National Park Service, or to our primary non-profit, tax exempt partner, Alaska Geographic. Learn more about both options below.

Donating to the National Park Service

When given directly to the National Park Service for use in the Aleutian Islands WWII National Historic Area, no administrative costs are deducted from your gift. Donations are accepted via check, which will be deposited in a non-interest-bearing government account. Donating to Alaska Geographic

Another option for supporting the Aleutian Islands WWII National Historic Area is to donate to primary non-profit, tax exempt partner, Alaska Geographic. The advantage of making your donation to Alaska Geographic is that the amount will be deposited in an interest-bearing account to assist projects or programs as requested and prioritized by Aleutian's managers.

Donations to Alaska Geographic go towards many National Park Service projects across the state, including but not limited to:
  • Providing visitors with the resources to learn more about the places they visit, including publications, arts programs, and educational events
  • Funding youth programs that engage, educate, and form communities of young people through outdoor recreation on public lands at no cost to the student. Programs range from kayaking to backpacking expeditions in Alaska’s wildest places.
  • Funding internships and volunteer projects that improve trails, public outreach, research, and virtual experience.
