New Tour Explores African Presence in Early New York

The free ranger-guided tour traverses sites in Lower Manhattan of social, political, cultural, and economic importance concerning Africans in colonial and post-colonial New York. Sites and events that may be covered include Fort Amsterdam, the Slave Market on Wall Street, slave revolts, the Underground Railroad, the African Free Schools, City Hall Park and more.
