The Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park will host a Night Sky Program at the Knob Creek unit of the park on Friday, October 12. Eastern Kentucky University will conduct the program which begins at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time and will provide telescopes for visitors to look through. Visitors are encouraged to bring a flashlight, sturdy shoes, and a sweater - just in case! If you have never been to a National Park at night, this is a great opportunity to enjoy a relaxed, crisp, and casual atmosphere at the site. No reservations are required. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be held on Friday, October 17, 2018, at the same time and location. For more information, call the park at 270-358-3137 or visit www.nps.gov/abli. |
