Angus cattle sale catalog from The Byars and Allen Sale, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Eisenhower raised his registered Angus cattle with partners.  Friend and neighbor George Allen and Texas Angus breeder Billy Byars helped establish the Angus herd on the Eisenhower Farm.  While president, Eisenhower never showed his cattle under his own name as he felt he might receive preferential treatment.  By 1958 the partnership had produced enough cattle to warrant a sale.
