Chittenden Road, trailhead parking area, and the Chittenden-Mount Washburn trail will close for 5 days in September for improvements

• A closure on Mount Washburn will be in effect from September 9-13. Closed areas will include:
  • Chittenden Road (from Grand Loop Road)
  • Chittenden trailhead parking area
  • Chittenden Road-Mount Washburn Trail 
• See map for details.
• Crews will work to improve the trail surface. 
• Hikers can access Mount Washburn via the Dunraven Pass - Mount Washburn Trail.
• If poor weather conditions prohibits work to be done during this time frame, the closure period will be moved to September 16-20.
