National Park ServiceFederal regulations covering all National Park Service lands are contained in the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 36, Chapter 1. National Trails System ActCongress established the Washington Rochambeau Revolutionary Route National Historic Trail on March 30, 2009, through Section 5204 of the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009 (Public Law 111-11), amending the National Trails System Act (16 U.S.C. § 1244(a)). To guide management of the trail, the National Park Service prepared a Foundation Document that provides a vision and decision-making framework for the trail; identifies significant natural, historic, and cultural resources to be preserved; and describes cooperative relationships with state and local government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and private entities. FirearmsAs of February 22, 2010, federal law allows individuals who may legally possess firearms under applicable federal, state, and local laws to legally possess firearms in National Park Service administered areas along the Washington Rochambeau Revolutionary Route National Historic Trail.
NPS Official Trail LogoThe official trail marker insignia, or official trail logo, for the Washington Rochambeau Revolutionary Route National Historic Trail may be used to identify officially designated trail sites, route segments, publications, interpretive materials, and other approved trail related uses Official Logo UseThe National Park Service encourages appropriate use of the logo by designated trail management entities and partners. The trail logo is protected under 18 U.S.C. § 701 and may also qualify for trademark protection under 15 U.S.C. §§ 1051–1129. Use of the trail logo requires permission from the Superintendent of the Washington Rochambeau Revolutionary Route National Historic Trail, National Park Service.
