  • Vanderbilt Mansion will be closed to the public on Wednesday morning July 30th.

    Signs will be installed at the Main and Coach House gates to inform the public of the temporary closure and will be removed when the park reopens. Park guests may wish to visit the Home of FDR or Eleanor Roosevelt’s Val-Kill in the morning.

Operating Hours & Seasons

May 2014 - October 2014 the mansion is open everyday by guided tour only. Tours are offered throughout the day at: 9:15, 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 and the last tour at 4:00 pm. The Visitor Center is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. (Tour times are subject to change)

November 2014 - April 2015 the mansion is open everyday by guided tour only. Tours are offered at 10:00, 12:00, 2:00 and 4:00.

Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day.

The grounds are free and open everyday from sunrise to sunset.
