A Celebration of Art

The striking façade, moody interior, and sinuous lines of Tumacácori's mission ruins have been the subjects of artistic representation for over 100 years. The first sketch on record came from the journal of a '49er on his way to California. The park landscape, which includes not only the mission structures but the Santa Cruz River corridor, welcomes diverse interpretations of natural and cultural heritage.

Call for Entries

Tumacácori will host an online exhibit of original artwork. Selections will be made by a panel of judges including Tubac Center of the Arts, Tubac Presidio State Historic Park, and Tumacácori staff.
Subjects may include anything related to Tumacácori National Historical Park and its wide range of cultural and natural features.

How Does an Online Exhibit Work?

Selected art will be displayed on the park's website and finalists will be featured on the park's social media platforms during the runup to Tumacácori's birthday, September 15th.
