2013 Harbor Seal Pupping Season Closures
From March 1 through June 30, the park implements closures of certain Tomales Bay beaches and Drakes Estero to water-based recreation to protect harbor seals during the pupping season. Please avoid disturbing seals to ensure a successful pupping season. More »
21st Annual Sand Sculpture Contest At Drakes Beach

Point Reyes National Seashore invites you to its 21st Annual Sand Sculpture Contest. Come spend the Sunday of Labor Day weekend in the sand and sun of Drakes Beach. This all day free event is open to people of all ages. Prizes donated by the Point Reyes National Seashore Association will be awarded in each catagory. Catagories include: Children (14 and under), Families, Adult Individuals, and Adult Groups. Please remember that dogs are allowed at North and South Beaches - not at Drakes Beach.
