Point Reyes National Seashore is currently accepting applications for Winter Wildlife Docent Volunteers. Winter Wildlife Docents help strengthen the connection with and foster stewardship of Point Reyes National Seashore among park visitors by helping visitors view, understand, and appreciate elephant seals and gray whales during their respective mating and migration seasons. Enjoy the satisfaction of helping others while observing elephant seals, gray whales, birds, wildflowers, and more in a magnificent setting.

Docents are asked to commit at least 6 weekend/holiday days averaging 2 days per month during the programs. A required training is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, November 17 & 18 and Saturday, December 1, 2012.

Prospective docents may apply online at https://www.nps.gov/pore/supportyourpark/volunteer.htm. Please contact Anela Ramos at 415-464-5146 or by email for an application or more information.
