Drakes Beach Café Temporarily Closed for Repairs November 30 through December 27, 2007

From Friday, November 30, 2007 through Thursday, December 27, 2007, the Drakes Beach Café will be closed for housekeeping activities prior to the busy whale watching and elephant seal viewing season. The café will reopen on Friday, December 28 and hours of operation for the winter season will be Friday from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday, 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM and Monday, from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM. They also take reservations for dinners on Fridays at (415) 669-1297.

The Ken Patrick Visitor Center at Drakes Beach will be open weekends and holidays at this time and will begin selling tickets for the popular shuttle bus operation starting on Saturday, December 29, 2007. The shuttle takes visitors from Drakes Beach parking lot, to the Lighthouse parking lot, then on to the Chimney Rock parking lot before returning to Drakes Beach. Visitors can get on and off the shuttle at anytime. The fee for the shuttle operation is $5 for adults, children 16 and under ride free.
