Book Signing at Point Reyes: Amy Meyer

This Saturday, July 29, long-time national park supporter Amy Meyer will hold a book signing at the Bear Valley Visitor Center from 12:30 – 2:00 PM. Her new book entitled, New Guardians for the Golden Gate: How America Got a Great National Park, will be available for purchase through the Point Reyes National Seashore Association. Since 1964, the nonprofit Point Reyes National Seashore Association has worked in partnership with the National Park Service to preserve and protect the park's unique natural and cultural resources.

Amy Meyer is the co-chair of People for a Golden Gate National Recreation Area and former vice chair of the Golden Gate National recreation Area and Point Reyes National Seashore Advisory Commission. She is an artist and former teacher and has earned numerous awards from organizations including the National Parks and Conservation Association (NPCA) Marjory Stoneman Douglas Award in 1993. NPCA’s annual Marjory Stoneman Douglas Award recognizes the outstanding efforts of an individual or group that result in the protection of a site or proposed site in the National Park System.
