Junior Ranger Days Begin at Petrified Forest National Park 2011

Petrified Forest—Visitors to the park can earn a special Junior Ranger badge and patch by participating in a variety of fun and educational activities on Saturdays from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm during the summer. Activities will focus on the subjects of paleontology, archeology, United States history, and arts and crafts. Locations will vary so feel free to call the park or visit the park website for more details.

August 13 Origami at Rainbow Forest Museum: create your own dinosaurs through this ancient art of folding paper.

August 20 Sandbox Paleontology at Painted Desert Visitor Center : Dig into the past!
