Hike with Rangers and their Dogs

WARTBURG, Tennessee: The Obed Wild and Scenic River will be hosting a guided hike on Friday, June 21, to celebrate National Bring Your Dog to Work Day.Rangers and their dogs will be hiking the Point Trail.This 3.8-mile, round-trip hike includes several scenic overlooks and traverses a narrow ridge separating Clear Creek and the Obed River before terminating at a point high above the confluence of the two streams. To participate, meet at the Lilly Overlook parking area at 8:00 a.m. EDT.Participants are encouraged to bring their dogs but must keep them on a six foot leash and under their control at all times. Individuals without a dog are also welcome to participate in this free event.Participants should dress appropriately for the weather and bring insect repellent and plenty of water for themselves and their dogs.
