Archeologists search for 1781 Patriot camp in February 2004

Date:  February 7, 2004

From February 6-9, 2004, Archeologists from the Southeast Archeological Center (SEAC) in Florida and several volunteers from a North Carolina metal detecting club tried all weekend to find General Green’s 1781 campsite. Nothing was found, but several sites were ruled out. Greene’s campsite remains illusive.
