Pets
Pets must be on a leash at all times at Mammoth Cave National Park. No pets are permitted in any cave with the exception of designated service animals. Pets are not permitted in guest rooms at the Mammoth Cave Hotel, Sunset Point Lodge, or the Hotel Cottages; pets are permitted in the Woodland Cottages. Designated service animals are permitted in guest rooms. The hotel maintains a kennel; call or email for availability. (270)758-2225 |

Did You Know?
In 1841, cave owner Dr. John Croghan believed the cave air might cure his patients suffering from tuberculosis. He brought 16 patients into Mammoth Cave that winter and housed them in stone and wood huts. After some perished, they left the cave, for of course the cave air offered no cure.
