NPS Independence Mobile App Features
Tap the "Sites" button to learn more about points of interest. Concise text explains the significance of the sites while professional photographs provide a stunning view of building exteriors and interiors. The Visiting section includes hours of operation and other essential information for your trip planning.
The map is easy to use while outdoors, and features large font sizes, illustrated walkways that are easily distinguishable from roads, and multiple zoom levels. By tapping the "Locate me" icon, you will always know where you are.
Discover the "Road to Revolution" or follow "In Franklin's Footsteps" on guided audio tours throughout the park. There are five thematic audio tours to choose from. Each tour includes engaging audio and detailed walking directions. Don't miss the "staff pick" tour on the British Occupation of Philadelphia.

Did You Know?
Many American patriots owned slaves before, during or after the Revolution. Here are a few you might know: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Rush, James Madison, Robert Morris, and James Wilson. Many of them spoke out against slavery, but only Washington freed 124 people by his will.
