George Washington Carver

The young boy known as the “Plant Doctor,” tended his secret garden while observing the day to day operations of a successful 19th century farm. Nature and nurture ultimately influenced George on his journey to becoming a renowned scientist of agriculture.

Carver Birthplace Association

The Carver Birthplace Association (CBA) is the cooperating association of George Washington Carver National Monument. CBA was established in the early 1940's with Carver's blessing. The CBA works with the George Washington Carver National Monument to share Carver's legacies as a world-renowned scientist, educator, and valiant humanitarian.

Carver House

Did You Know?
The 1881 Moses Carver House is the only historic structure at the park that dates back to the Moses Carver era. Although he was not raised in this house, George Washington Carver visited Moses and Susan Carver here during his school years.
