Fredericksburg & Spotsylvania National Military Park
Photos & Multimedia

Currently, Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park has started the ambitious endeavor to highlight each one of the parks tour stops in video format. Park historians tell the story of each site through two minute video clips. These videos will also include the stories of the parks historic buildings, famous visitors, and the impact on the community and nation as a whole. Check back often, as we post more videos as they become available.

Site of Jackson's Wounding

Did You Know?
In 1888 members of Stonewall Jackson's staff placed a monument to him near where he was wounded. They choose a location along the main road, today called Route 3. The actual spot of Jackson's wounding was on the Mountain Road, about 50 yards NE of the monument.
