For Teachers
Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park commemorates four Civil War battles that took place in and around Fredericksburg, Virginia, from December 1862 to May 1864. The park's two visitor centers, exhibits, films and historic buildings invite students to consider why these battles occurred and how they impacted the lives of soldiers, civilians, women and African Americans.
