Plan a Field Trip

The vibrant, dynamic Everglades ecosystem provides the perfect outdoor classroom for field studies. Educators have several options for bringing students for a visit to the park. Local 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students can participate in one of our curriculum-based ranger-guided programs. Teachers, you can also easily lead your own field trip.

If you have an educational group that does not meet the criteria for the 4th, 5th and 6th grade ranger-guided programs, then you can apply for a special request program. This is subject to ranger staffing and availability. |
Did You Know?
Over fifty-nine color varieties of the Liguus Tree Snail have been seen in and around the Everglades ecosystem. They graze on the algae and lichen that grows on smooth-barked trees. During the dry winter months, they are usually sealed to these trees to conserve moisture.
