Welcome to the wildlife of the Everglades. Why do you suppose we call them wild-life? All the animals of Everglades National Park are free to roam wherever they like. They are not in cages like you would expect at a zoo, nor are they tame like your cat or dog. In short, they are wild animals! Come discover the many different types of wildlife you might find on a visit to the Everglades.

Did You Know?
Female alligators will vehemently protect their nests and their young until they reach one to two years of age. Keep your eyes out for baby alligators in the Everglades - they're about a foot long with yellow stripes.
