Fire Restrictions in effect
Smoking is prohibited except within an enclosed vehicle. Charcoal fires are permitted only in provided grills in the campground and picnic areas. No wood fires. Gas stoves are permitted only in campground and picnic areas. All fireworks are prohibited.
Art Exhibit of the Century

The Colorado National Monument and the Grand Junction Commission on Arts and Culture will host an opening reception for the "Exhibit of the Century" art contest winners on Friday evening at Grand Junction City Hall, January 7 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. The public is cordially invited to attend.
The Colorado National Monument's "Exhibit of the Century" winners will exhibit their works reflecting the Colorado National Monument as part of our Centennial Celebration. Twenty artworks, including photographs, paintings, and pen and ink drawings, will be on display and many of the pieces will be for sale by contacting the individual artists. Best-of-show, first, second, and third place winners will be announced at the opening reception.
The Exhibit will be on display and open to the public at: Grand Junction City Hall, from January 7-March 30, 2011 (8-5 daily) Mesa County Building April 1-June 30, 2011 (8-5 daily).
An additional People's Choice online competition will also take place from Jan. 8 through Feb. 28. The public is invited to vote online at www.coloradonma.org.
